SOUS CHEF 55m+ Private Motor Yacht Programme: Private | Worldwide Cruising Salary: USD $4,000 p/m Leave: 45 Days Annual Leave Start Date: Early August 2026 Location: USA POSITION OVERVIEW: Crew & Co is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef to join an exceptional 55m+ M/Y operating an exciting worldwide cruising programme. This is an exceptional opportunity to work alongside a highly experienced Head Chef with an extensive background in Michelin-starred restaurants and luxury hospitality. The galley is exceptionally well-equipped, stocked with the very best equipment, and offers an environment where creativity, quality and continual learning are genuinely encouraged. The yacht operates a private programme with an active cruising itinerary, currently exploring more off the beaten track locations, before continuing trips around the USA. With a loyal core crew, excellent owner support and genuine investment in crew wellbeing, this is a fantastic opportunity for a chef looking for longevity within a professional and rewarding programme. THE ROLE: Working alongside an exceptionally experienced Head Chef, you will assist in delivering outstanding cuisine for owners and guests, while also taking ownership of crew meals when required. This is not simply a supporting role. During periods when the Head Chef is on leave, you’ll be responsible for independently planning, preparing and delivering three high-quality crew meals per day for a crew of 13. The Head Chef prepares fresh breads and pasta daily and is passionate about mentoring someone who is eager to learn and continue developing their culinary skills. Whilst guidance and training will be provided, it’s essential that the successful candidate is already a competent chef capable of managing the galley independently when required. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Experienced within professional kitchens, luxury hospitality or yachting. Confident cooking independently without supervision. Passionate about fresh, high-quality produce and refined cuisine. Calm, organised and efficient under pressure. Positive, hardworking and eager to continue learning.
