CREW & CO – SUPERYACHT CREW RECRUITMENT HOST / HOSTESS Luxury Hotel Barge | France Programme: Luxury River Tourism | Seasonal (ASAP – Mid-November) Location: France Salary: Competitive + Tips Start Date: ASAP POSITION OVERVIEW: Crew & Co is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a Host or Hostess to join a luxury hotel barge operating throughout some of France’s most beautiful waterways, including Burgundy, the Canal du Midi, the Nivernais Canal and the Marne Haut-Rhin Canal. The fleet comprises twelve luxury barges accommodating up to twelve guests, with small, close-knit crews delivering an exceptional luxury experience. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with a background in high-end hospitality who is looking to gain experience in an environment remarkably similar to life onboard a superyacht. Whether your experience comes from luxury hotels, fine dining, boutique properties, ski chalets or premium guest services, this role will provide invaluable exposure to guest-facing hospitality, housekeeping, service, table presentation and luxury operations—all highly transferable skills for anyone aspiring to build a career within the superyacht industry. THE ROLE: Working as part of a small onboard team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service throughout each charter, ensuring every guest enjoys a warm, welcoming and memorable experience. This is a varied role, combining luxury hospitality, housekeeping and service within an intimate, high-end environment where attention to detail is paramount. Key Responsibilities: Welcoming guests onboard and delivering exceptional customer service. Maintaining luxury guest cabins and interior spaces to an impeccable standard. Preparing and serving breakfast each morning. Setting elegant tables and assisting with lunch and dinner service. Preparing aperitifs, cocktails and refreshments. Presenting wines and cheeses to guests. Managing onboard inventories including beverages, linens and guest supplies. Anticipating guest needs and delivering personalised service throughout each stay. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: We’re looking for someone who is naturally personable, polished and passionate about delivering exceptional hospitality. This opportunity would suit candidates with experience in: Luxury hotels Boutique hotels Michelin-star restaurants Luxury ski chalets Fine dining Private villas High-end guest relations Superyachts (Junior Steward/ess) REQUIREMENTS: EU Passport (essential). Previous experience within high-end hospitality. Fluent English. Strong service and housekeeping skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. A genuine passion for luxury guest service. Female (due to cabins) Knowledge of French gastronomy, wine or French culture would be advantageous but is not essential. WHY THIS ROLE?
