What you'll be doing:
Lead a World-Class Marine Testing Operation
- Direct all activities at Yamaha's waterfront testing facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and successful execution of testing programs.
- Plan workloads, allocate resources, and maintain operational readiness to support demanding development schedules.
- Oversee a unique portfolio of assets, including boats, trucks, marine equipment, tools, and facility infrastructure.
Inspire and Develop Great People
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of highly skilled technicians and marine professionals.
- Foster a culture built on safety, accountability, innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Drive technical training and career development initiatives that help employees grow and thrive.
Operate an Elite Waterfront Facility
- Manage day-to-day operations of Yamaha's marina, office complex, and test site.
- Coordinate facility maintenance, contractors, and improvements to ensure a best-in-class work environment.
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs, emergency response plans, and operational procedures.
Ensure Safety, Compliance, and Excellence
- Champion a safety-first culture and maintain compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and corporate requirements.
- Lead Environmental Health & Safety initiatives and ensure site readiness for audits and inspections.
- Protect site security, confidentiality, and Yamaha intellectual property.
Drive Strategic Business Success
- Manage site operating and capital budgets, forecasting expenses and identifying future investment needs.
- Support annual planning and budgeting processes.
- Oversee internal billing and reporting activities to ensure accurate financial accountability.
Represent Yamaha on the Water and in the Community
- Serve as the face of the facility, building strong relationships within Yamaha and throughout the local marine community.
- Support on-water testing activities and spend time aboard Yamaha vessels evaluating products in real-world conditions.
- Help showcase Yamaha's commitment to innovation, quality, and performance.

- A strong background in facility, operations, or test-site management with responsibility for people, budgets, assets, and day-to-day operations.
- An understanding of the product development process and what it takes to bring innovative products from concept to reality.
- Experience within the marine industry is highly valued, along with a genuine passion for boating and life on the water.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and safety practices that support world-class operations.
- Strong business and organizational skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- The ability to build relationships across diverse teams, cultures, and business functions, both domestically and internationally.
- A confident and adaptable leadership style that thrives in fast-moving environments where priorities can change quickly.
