About this role

Join OSM Thome as Motorman / Oiler on our bulk carriers trading worldwide. Work closely with the engine team to keep all machinery and equipment in safe and efficient working condition.

Key responsibilities:
Assist watchkeeping engineers with daily engine room duties
Carry out routine oiling, greasing and cleaning of machinery
Perform maintenance on pumps, purifiers, compressors and auxiliary equipment
Monitor and report leaks, abnormal sounds and any defects
Follow safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping in the engine room
Assist during bunkering, transfers and other engine-related operations

Requirements:
Valid Motorman / Oiler (MTM) certificate and STCW documents
Previous sea service in engine room, preferably on bulk carriers
Good understanding of engine room operations and safety
Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
Ability to work in a multinational team and follow instructions clearly
