About this role

Join OSM Thome as 3rd Engineer on a container vessel trading worldwide. You will be part of a professional engine team, supporting safe and efficient operations of all main and auxiliary machinery.

Key responsibilities:
Assist in operation and maintenance of main engine, generators and auxiliary equipment
Carry out routine inspections, planned maintenance and repairs in the engine room
Monitor engine room parameters and report any abnormalities
Follow onboard safety procedures and pollution prevention rules
Keep engine room and workshops clean, safe and organized

Requirements:
Valid 3rd Engineer (III/1 or equivalent) license
Previous experience as 3/E or ETO/Junior Engineer on seagoing vessels, preferably container
Valid STCW certificates, medical and seaman’s book
Good English communication skills
Strong safety mindset and ability to work well in a mixed-nationality crew
