About this role

Join OSM Thome as a Fitter (FTR) on a bulk carrier trading worldwide. Work in a hands-on role, supporting safe and reliable vessel operations together with an experienced deck and engine crew.

Key responsibilities:

Carry out steel repairs, welding, cutting and basic fabrication work on deck and in engine room
Maintain and repair pipelines, brackets, foundations, handrails and other ship structures
Assist engineers during maintenance and overhauls of machinery and equipment
Support safe work practices, housekeeping and proper use of tools and gear
Follow planned maintenance routines and report defects to senior officers

Requirements:

Previous experience as Fitter onboard seagoing vessels, preferably bulk carriers
Strong welding and gas-cutting skills; able to read simple drawings and measurements
Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness for sea service
Good English communication skills
Team player with a safety-first attitude and willingness to work worldwide
