About this role

Join OSM Thome as Chief Engineer on a bulk carrier trading worldwide. Take full charge of the engine department, keep machinery running safely and efficiently, and support reliable vessel operations.

Key responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the engine room team
Operate, monitor, and maintain all main and auxiliary machinery
Plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance
Ensure safe engine room operations and compliance with company and international regulations
Manage bunker operations, fuel and lube oil consumption, and engine room spares
Prepare technical reports and keep engine logs updated

Requirements:
Valid Chief Engineer license for seagoing vessels
Recent experience as Chief Engineer, preferably on bulk carriers
Good knowledge of engine room systems, PMS, and safety procedures
Valid STCW certificates, medical fitness, and seafarer documents
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Good command of written and spoken English
