About this role

Join OSM Thome as Chief Engineer on a bulk carrier trading worldwide. You will be in charge of the engine department, keeping all machinery safe, reliable, and ready for operation on every voyage.

Key responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the engine room team
Operate, monitor, and maintain main engine, auxiliaries, and all deck/engine machinery
Plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance
Ensure safe engine room operations and compliance with company and international regulations
Manage spare parts, stores, bunkering, and technical reports
Support the Master in ensuring vessel safety and pollution prevention

Requirements:
Valid Chief Engineer license for seagoing vessels
Recent experience as C/E, preferably on bulk carriers
Strong knowledge of engine room operations and maintenance
Good English communication skills
Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
