About this role

We are looking for an experienced Chief Engineer for a bulk carrier trading worldwide. Join OSM Thome and take full charge of the engine department, ensuring safe, efficient and reliable vessel operations.

Key responsibilities:
Lead and manage the engine room team
Oversee safe operation and maintenance of all machinery and equipment
Plan and supervise repairs, inspections and routine maintenance
Ensure compliance with class, flag state, company and international regulations
Monitor fuel and lube oil consumption and ensure proper engine performance
Maintain technical records, reports and documentation

Requirements:
Valid Chief Engineer license (unlimited), STCW compliant
Recent experience as Chief Engineer on bulk carriers
Strong knowledge of main engine, auxiliaries and shipboard systems
Good command of English, spoken and written
Valid STCW certificates and valid medical fitness
Strong leadership, safety mindset and problem-solving skills
