About this role

Rank: 4th Engineer / Junior Engineer · Vessel: Tanker - Oil/Chemical

Join OSM Thome as a 4th / Junior Engineer on oil/chemical tankers trading worldwide. You will be part of a professional engine team, keeping all machinery running safely and efficiently while gaining solid hands-on sea experience.

Key responsibilities:

Assist in operation and maintenance of main engine, auxiliaries and engine room equipment
Carry out routine checks, rounds and record-keeping in the engine room
Support bunkering, fuel transfers and other engine room operations
Follow planned maintenance and assist in repairs as instructed by senior engineers
Maintain good housekeeping and safety standards in all machinery spaces

Requirements:

Valid 4th Engineer or equivalent STCW license with tanker (oil/chemical) endorsement
Previous sea service in engine department, preferably on tankers
Valid STCW certificates, medical and travel documents
Good English communication and ability to work in an international crew
Strong safety mindset and willingness to learn and grow within the engine team
