About this role

Rank: 4th Engineer / Junior Engineer · Vessel: Tanker - Oil/Chemical

OSM Thome is looking for a reliable 4th Engineer / Junior Engineer to sail on our oil/chemical tankers worldwide. You will support the engine team in keeping all machinery safe, efficient, and ready for operation.

Key responsibilities:
Assist in operation and maintenance of main engine, auxiliaries, and engine room equipment
Carry out routine checks, monitoring, and recording of engine room parameters
Perform planned maintenance, minor repairs, and troubleshooting as instructed by senior engineers
Follow safety and pollution prevention procedures at all times
Assist during bunkering, cargo operations, and engine room watchkeeping

Requirements:
Valid 4th Engineer / III/1 CoC or equivalent suitable for tanker service
Previous experience on tankers (oil/chemical) preferred
Valid STCW certificates, tanker endorsements, and medical fitness
Good English communication skills
Team player with a strong safety mindset and willingness to learn
