OSM Thome is looking for an experienced and safety-minded 3rd Officer for LPG/Ethylene tankers trading worldwide. If you are a professional deck officer with gas tanker background and strong navigation skills, we would like to hear from you.

Key responsibilities

Stand navigational watches in accordance with COLREGs and company procedures
Assist with cargo and ballast operations for LPG/Ethylene cargoes as directed
Maintain safety, firefighting and lifesaving equipment as assigned
Update charts and publications, and keep bridge equipment in good order
Support the implementation of the safety management system and permit-to-work
Assist with mooring operations, drills and general deck duties

Requirements

Valid STCW Officer of the Watch (OOW) Deck license
Recent experience as 3/O or OOW on LPG and/or Ethylene tankers
Valid gas tanker endorsements and STCW safety courses
Good English communication skills, written and spoken
Strong focus on safety and teamwork in a multinational crew
Medically fit for sea service with valid seafarer medical certificate
Candidate must have experience in LPG vessel
Prefers with valid Schengen visa
Must have valid STCW including SID and Seamans Book
Prefers with valid higher license
