About this role

OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Motorman / Oiler to join a car carrier trading worldwide. You will be part of a steady engine team, supporting safe and efficient operation of all machinery onboard.

Key responsibilities:

Assist engineers with operation and routine maintenance of main engine and auxiliaries
Carry out daily engine room rounds and report any irregularities
Perform lube oil, fuel oil and cooling water checks as instructed
Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping in engine room spaces
Assist during bunkering, drills and other engine room duties as required

Requirements:

Valid Motorman / Oiler (Engine Rating) certificates and seaman’s documents
Previous experience as Motorman / Oiler, preferably on car carriers or similar vessels
Valid STCW basic safety, medical certificate and security training
Good English communication skills
Fit for worldwide trading and willing to work in a multinational crew
