Take command as Master on a bulk carrier trading worldwide with OSM Thome. Lead a professional crew, ensure safe and efficient vessel operations, and uphold the highest navigational and operational standards at sea.

Key responsibilities

Overall command of the vessel and crew
Safe navigation, voyage planning and conduct of the ship
Compliance with all international, flag state, class and company regulations
Overseeing cargo operations, stability and seaworthiness
Ensuring implementation of SMS, ISM, ISPS and safety drills
Managing crew performance, discipline, training and welfare
Maintaining good communication with owners, charterers and agents
Accurate logbooks, reports and documentation

Requirements

Valid Master (Unlimited) CoC
Recent sea service as Master on bulk carriers
Strong command experience in worldwide trade
Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
Good leadership, communication and decision-making skills
Strong safety mindset and good record of safe operations
Master must have experience in Bulk Carrier vessels
Must have valid STCW including SID and Seamans Book
Must have valid US Visa
