Work Arrangement: Hybrid What You'll Do: The IAM Manager is responsible for leading the enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) program, including strategy, governance, and operational execution. This role ensures secure, compliant, and efficient access to systems, applications, and data across the organization. The IAM Manager leads a team of IAM professionals, partners with business and IT stakeholders, and drives continuous improvement of identity controls to reduce risk while enabling the business. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: IAM Program Leadership & Strategy Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive IAM program aligned with industry best practices and organizational risk tolerance. Own IAM policies, standards, and procedures supporting regulatory, audit, and customer requirements. Develop and maintain a three ‑ year strategic roadmap for IAM capabilities, maturity, and automation. Continuously assess IAM effectiveness and evolve the program based on emerging threats, technologies, and business needs. People Leadership & Performance Management Lead, coach, and manage a team responsible for identity lifecycle management, access administration, and authentication services. Define clear goals, success metrics, KPIs, and SLAs; regularly measure and report team performance. Direct the team to deliver both strategic initiatives and day ‑ to ‑ day operational objectives. Foster a culture of accountability, documentation, and continuous improvement. Identity Lifecycle & Access Management Oversee user and non ‑ user identity lifecycle processes including onboarding, role changes, offboarding, and account maintenance. Ensure appropriate access to systems, applications, and data through role ‑ based access controls, and approvals. Establish standards and govern directory services, identity platforms, and identity federation services. Authentication & Security Controls Provide oversight for authentication services including AD DS, MFA, and SSO for work force, guest, and customer identities. Monitor system and access activity logs to identify potential security incidents, misuse, or policy violations. Serve as escalation owner for identity ‑ related incidents, ensuring timely investigation and resolution. Risk, Compliance & Audit Monitor and enforce compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Perform and oversee IAM risk assessments, access reviews, and certification campaigns. Respond to audit findings and ensure timely remediation of identified gaps. Evaluate and prioritize IAM risks based on business criticality and strategic objectives. Stakeholder & Cross ‑ Functional Collaboration Partner with HR, IT, OT, Legal, Compliance, and business leaders to ensure secure access aligned with workforce and business needs. Educate users and stakeholders on IAM policies, procedures, and security responsibilities. Develop and maintain IAM documentation, training materials, and operational playbooks. Continuous Improvement & Innovation Identify gaps in IAM processes and controls; develop and implement corrective actions. Evaluate new tools, technologies, and automation opportunities to simplify and improve IAM operations. Continuously improve IAM metrics, baselines, and control maturity. Qualifications Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, logistics, education or a related field; or combination of post-high school education and experience equal to eight (8) years. Experience: 7+ years of experience related to IAM administration or other related Infosec/cybersecurity experience. 3+ years of experience leading teams or managing programs. Strong knowledge of IAM concepts including RBAC, MFA, SSO, and directory services, and identity lifecycle management. Experience supporting audits. Technical Skills: One of the following certifications: Certified Identity and Access Manager (Identity Management Institute), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), (ISC)2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar ISS certification. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerBI, and SharePoint. Proficient understanding of security issues, techniques, and implications across one or more computer platforms. An Identity and Access Management (IAM) Manager should possess strong technical proficiency across IAM fundamentals, including identity lifecycle management (joiners, movers, leavers), role-based access control (RBAC), access reviews, and least privilege enforcement. The role requires working knowledge of modern authentication and authorization technologies such as multi factor authentication (MFA), single sign on (SSO), and identity federation, as well as familiarity with industry standard protocols including SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and LDAP. An effective IAM Manager understands enterprise directory services and cloud identity platforms, privileged access management concepts, and how identity controls support audit, compliance, and risk management. While not expected to be the primary engineer, the IAM Manager must have sufficient technical depth to govern architecture decisions, interpret access and authentication logs, guide automation efforts, and lead specialists in delivering secure, scalable, and compliant identity services aligned to business objectives. Competencies: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, including conveying technical information to technical and non-technical users. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, both internal and external of the organization. Ability to document existing and new processes. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously. Ability to utilize problem solving skills. Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Ability to effectively manage, deliver and coordinate projects across multiple organizations that may vary in nature and scope while applying project management methodology. Knowledge of and ability to apply the concepts, principles and practices of the User Lifecycle Management. Knowledge of Identity Access Management, concepts, practices, and procedures within the technology field. Knowledge of and the ability to understand integration needs and configure third party applications. Knowledge of process mapping. The ability to utilize tools, concepts, principles, and practices of data collection, analysis and testing. What We Offer?
