Overview Job Bid COS-SUI 20XX-XX-AE ASSISTANT ENGINEER – SIU – Ocean Class Minimum Qualifications : Assistant Engineer – Oceans, Any HP, Limited – 1600 GRT/3000 ITC License Valid STCW with all required endorsements (including, but not limited to Officer in Charge of Engineering Watch, Advanced Firefighting, and Medical Care Provider) TWIC Valid Passport - must be able to travel internationally with no felonies, DUI, or other convictions which would restrict entry into other countries CPR/First Aid Responsibilities Minimum Experience : 1 year service as Engineer Familiarity with Towing vessel deck machinery Familiarity with PLC control systems Computer proficiencies with Word, Excel, Outlook and Maintenance based programs. Preferred Experience: Caterpillar or Wartsila experience Kongsberg Dynamic Positioning system Training Qualifications Expectation: May be assigned to other classes of vessels as necessary Probation: 90 days Compensation: As Per Contract Geographic Area: Lake Charles or Jacksonville Homeport This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. Compensation, including hourly wages or salary, benefits, and other terms of employment, will be in accordance with the applicable union contract. Specific pay rates and benefits will be provided during the hiring process and are based on the terms outlined in the agreement.
