Derecktor is seeking a skilled and reliable Facilities Manager to oversee facility maintenance, capital improvement projects, and safety compliance across our Dania Beach, FL; Fort Pierce, FL; and Mamaroneck, NY locations. This position may be based out of any of the three locations and requires regular travel between facilities.

The Facilities Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing facility maintenance and infrastructure improvement projects while ensuring company facilities remain safe, compliant, and well maintained. This role also oversees the company's safety program, ensuring safety policies, procedures, training, and regulatory requirements are implemented consistently across all three locations. Working closely with local management, the Facilities Manager develops long-term maintenance plans, manages contractors and capital projects, and promotes a culture of safety throughout the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

These shall include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:

  • Routinely inspect each facility to identify maintenance, infrastructure, operational support, or safety needs.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs for buildings, grounds, docks, piers, utilities, and waterfront infrastructure.
  • Supervise and support facilities staff in maintaining and repairing infrastructure, including concrete, bulkheads, docks, piers, buildings, and waterfront assets.
  • Develop annual capital improvement plans and maintenance budgets, including project timelines and funding recommendations.
  • Manage facility maintenance and capital project budgets while identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Prepare cost-benefit analyses and recommendations for major repairs, replacements, and capital investments.
  • Solicit bids, negotiate contracts, and oversee the work of internal maintenance personnel, vendors, contractors, and service providers performing facility maintenance and capital improvement projects.
  • Monitor the condition and lifecycle of buildings, docks, piers, bulkheads, utilities, equipment, and other facility assets, making recommendations for repair or replacement.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to schedule facility work while minimizing disruption to operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable OSHA, environmental, federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Develop and maintain emergency preparedness, business continuity, and severe weather response plans related to facilities.
  • Review, update, and maintain the company Safety Handbook to reflect current regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor company-wide safety programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct and document regular facility safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate safety training and ensure employee certifications and required documentation remain current.
  • Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ensure compliance with OSHA Hazard Communication Standards.
  • Lead or assist with incident investigations, root cause analyses, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain OSHA logs, inspection reports, permits, and other regulatory documentation.
  • Serve as the primary company contact for OSHA inspections and safety-related regulatory agencies.
  • Track and analyze safety metrics and trends and recommend initiatives to reduce incidents and improve workplace safety.
  • Promote a proactive culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Travel regularly between company locations to oversee maintenance projects, inspections, and safety initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
