Work Arrangement: Hybrid What You'll Do: Responsible for the administration, support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of enterprise applications that support critical business operations. Partners with business users, technical teams, and third-party vendors to troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements and ensure application stability, performance, and reliability. Serves as a technical lead for assigned applications by managing configuration, operational support, system upgrades, incident resolution, and release activities. Develops technical documentation, training materials, and support resources while promoting user adoption and adherence to application standards and best practices. Supports disaster recovery, business continuity, system monitoring, and problem management processes to minimize operational risk and maintain service availability. Maintain current knowledge of application technologies and industry best practices to deliver effective solutions and support evolving business needs. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Partners with technical teams and third-party software vendors to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues, including driving root-cause analysis for vendor-supported applications. Troubleshoots and resolves customer complaints and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements to system and application related issues. Perform application owner duties to include configuration, enhancements and daily operational support. Supports and serves as technical applications lead on cross-functional IT and business projects, translating business requirements into technical solutions. Leads the installation and maintenance of assigned application(s). Provides training and technical guidance support, as needed, and leads the development of user training, manuals, documentation, and related job aids. Collaborates with and manages change with all levels of the organization. Serve as an application subject matter expert, ensuring adherence to best practices, governance standards, and application requirements while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. Assists with the development of IT policies, procedures, and programs as required. Incident & Problem Management: Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major outages and implement long-term preventative measures. Release & Deployment: Oversee application updates and patches, ensuring zero-to-minimal impact on business continuity Maintains recency with the relative application landscape and technology to demonstrate and maintain continued technical expertise. Support and manage enterprise monitoring tools to proactively detect, analyze and resolve system performance, availability, and reliability issues proactively to prevent impact to business operations. Develop and maintain knowledge-based articles, technical documentation, operational and support materials to ensure effective application administration and knowledge transfer. Implement and provide ongoing maintenance of Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BC) strategies, including backup validation, failover testing, and recovery readiness to ensure minimal business disruption. Qualifications Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or a related field; or combination of post-high school education and experience equal to eight (8) years. Experience: 8 - 10 years of experience administering applications in an Enterprise Program. Industry knowledge of Fuels operations including dispatch and delivery by truck and marine. Must have process awareness of critical business workflows – Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and/or HCM/Payroll. Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio. Understanding of cybersecurity best practices. Ability to analyze system bottlenecks, optimize database queries, tune application performance, data flow and integrations, and support capacity planning. System experience with JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheets, AI tools, along with all Microsoft products. Knowledge of standard programming languages, concepts, practices, and procedures within the technology field. Knowledge of and the ability to understand integration needs and configure third-party applications. Knowledge of and the ability to utilize tools, concepts, principles, and practices of data collection, analysis, testing, and performance optimization.
