OSM Thome is looking for an experienced 3rd Officer for oil/chemical tankers trading worldwide. Sail with a professional crew, keep high safety standards, and build your tanker career with us.

Key responsibilities:

Stand navigational watch as OOW, ensuring safe voyage at all times
Assist with cargo operations, including loading, discharging and tank change-over
Monitor deck and safety equipment, including LSA/FFA and navigational gear
Prepare and update charts and publications, passage plans and logs
Support ISM/ISPS procedures, drills and safety meetings on board
Assist Chief Officer with deck crew supervision and daily deck routines

Requirements:

Valid 3rd Officer (OOW Deck) license meeting STCW requirements
Recent experience on oil/chemical tankers preferred
Advanced Oil and Chemical Tanker endorsements
Valid STCW basic and advanced safety certificates, medical and seaman’s book
Good English communication skills, written and spoken
Strong safety mindset and willingness to work in a multinational crew
