CREW & CO – SUPERYACHT CREW RECRUITMENT SECOND OFFICER Yacht: 85m+ Motoryacht Programme: Private / Charter, World Cruising Salary: DOE Rotation: 3:1 Start Date: September 2026 Current Location: Europe Gender: Male or Female Visa: Valid B1/B2 required POSITION OVERVIEW: Crew & Co is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced Second Officer to join an established 85m+ private/charter motor yacht operating a dynamic worldwide cruising programme. The yacht has completed a substantial charter season this year alongside significant owner use, offering an excellent balance between private operations and a highly successful charter programme with exceptional earning potential. This is a primarily bridge-focused position suited to an Officer with previous large-yacht experience who is confident operating within a busy private and charter environment. Although bridge responsibilities will form the core of the role, the successful candidate must remain practical and willing to support tender operations, guest activities and the wider deck department when required. THE ROLE: Working closely with the Captain, Chief Officer and wider bridge team, the Second Officer will support the safe navigation and operation of the vessel. Responsibilities will include navigational watches, passage planning, chart and publication corrections, bridge administration and maintaining the yacht’s navigational systems and records. The exact Officer portfolio will be confirmed according to the successful candidate’s experience and the existing bridge structure. The programme includes extended crossings, remote destinations, intensive owner trips and busy charters. The successful candidate must therefore be organised, adaptable and capable of maintaining excellent navigational and administrative standards in a fast-moving operational environment. Although this is not a deck-heavy position, the Second Officer should be comfortable assisting with the yacht’s substantial tender and watersports programme. This may include tender driving, guest transfers, excursions and supporting the deck team during high-pressure operations. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: An experienced Officer with a proven background onboard large yachts Confident with navigational watches and passage planning Organised, accurate and strong with bridge administration Comfortable working within a busy private and charter programme A capable tender driver who remains willing to assist outside the bridge Calm, professional and confident under pressure Personable and comfortable interacting with owners and guests A positive and approachable team member Physically active and aligned with the yacht’s health-focused culture Looking for longevity within an established world-cruising programme Male or female candidates will be considered REQUIREMENTS: Chief Mate Ticket (Ideally) would also consider OOW 3000GT Previous Officer experience onboard large motor yachts Strong navigational watchkeeping and passage-planning experience Confident knowledge of ECDIS, GMDSS and bridge procedures Tender-driving experience Valid STCW and ENG1 Valid B1/B2 visa Fluent English APPLY: If you would like to be considered, please apply with your most recent CV and confirm your current location, availability, certification, B1/B2 visa status and relevant large-yacht experience. Alternatively, please contact Crew & Co for further information. Due to the high volume of applications received, only candidates who closely match the outlined profile and requirements will be contacted. Certain client-specific preferences and operational requirements may not always be detailed within the advert. We kindly ask that candidates only apply if they meet the core criteria outlined above.
