Rank: 2nd Engineer (2/E) · Vessel: Tanker - Oil/Chemical

Join OSM Thome as a 2nd Engineer on oil/chemical tankers trading worldwide. You will be part of a professional engine team, keeping all machinery in safe and efficient running condition on international voyages.

Key responsibilities:

Assist the Chief Engineer in daily engine room operations and maintenance
Monitor and maintain main engine, auxiliary engines and related machinery
Oversee fuel oil, lube oil and bunker operations as instructed
Carry out planned maintenance and record all work done
Ensure safe engine room watchkeeping and compliance with company and international rules
Support safe cargo and ballast operations from the engine side

Requirements:

Valid 2nd Engineer (unlimited) CoC, meeting STCW requirements
Recent experience as 2/E on oil/chemical tankers
Good knowledge of engine room systems and tanker operations
All mandatory STCW safety and tanker certificates
Good English communication skills
Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
