JOB TITLE: Yard Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Service
REPORTS TO: Yard Manager
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Yard Supervisor is responsible for carrying out yard operations for the marina. The Yard Supervisor’s primary responsibility is leading and assisting the yard staff to achieve customer service goals and ensure marina processes are implemented and followed for all yard functions. The Yard Supervisor projects a professional company image through all types of interaction. As this is a fast-paced environment, must be able to work under pressure.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Oversee vehicle operators, laborers, helpers, and material movers.
2. Monitor yard inventory and purchase as needed
3. Monitor and maintain yard fence facility and equipment maintenance
4. Other duties as assigned by management
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Prior work history in a supervisor position (preferred)
2. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
3. Must be able to work flexible hours based on the needs of the property to include weekends and holidays as needed.
4. Ability to identify and evaluate malfunctioning equipment and recommend corrective measures or repair.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be able to swim or be willing to wear a personal flotation device in instances of emergency
2. Must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, heat) for extended periods of time
3. Must be able to climb stairs, both indoors and outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, heat)
