Summary: The Woodworker fabricates, assembles, fits, and finishes wood components used in the construction of Viking yachts. Work may include custom panels, cabinetry, doors, hatches, flooring, trim, and other interior components. This position requires strong attention to detail, accurate measurement, and quality craftsmanship while using woodworking machinery, hand tools, and power tools. Responsibilities: Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, modify, and fit wood components used in yacht construction.
• Build and work with cabinetry, panels, doors, hatches, flooring, trim, and other custom wood components.
• Measure, cut, shape, drill, sand, and finish materials according to specifications.
• Operate woodworking machinery, hand tools, and power tools safely and accurately.
• Read and interpret measurements, drawings, templates, work orders, and specifications.
• Work with marine plywood, hardwoods, veneers, laminates, and other materials used in yacht interiors.
• Perform fitting and adjustment of components to achieve proper alignment, appearance, and finish.
• Inspect completed work for dimensions, fit, finish, and overall craftsmanship.
• Identify defects or discrepancies and make necessary corrections or adjustments.
• Handle finished materials carefully to prevent scratches, dents, or other damage.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Work with carpenters, cabinet makers, installers, production personnel, and supervisors to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Follow company safety procedures and Viking Yacht Company quality standards.
• Perform other woodworking, carpentry, and production-related duties as assigned.

Requirements: Qualifications

• Previous woodworking, carpentry, cabinetry, furniture building, millwork, or similar hands-on experience preferred.
• Experience in yacht, boat, or marine woodworking is a plus but not required.
• Ability to accurately use measuring tools and perform basic shop math.
• Familiarity with woodworking machinery, hand tools, and power tools.
• Ability to read basic drawings, measurements, and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Ability to work independently after training and as part of a production team.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, reach, push, and pull throughout the workday.
• Ability to regularly lift and carry materials, tools, and components up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work around wood dust, noise, machinery, adhesives, finishes, and other normal manufacturing conditions.
• Ability to safely use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
