Work Arrangement: Operational What You'll Do: Responsible for mechanical diagnostics, repair and maintenance of diesel and gasoline industrial trucks, and any other industrial machinery. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Conducts regular on-site surveys of equipment to determine needed repairs. Troubleshoots and makes appropriate repairs, including fabrication and welding. Maintains and lubricates machine tools and equipment. May change tires, batteries and other parts. May also be responsible for Cargo Tank testing to ensure that U.S. DOT specifications are being met. Qualifications Education & Credentials: High school diploma or GED required. Technical school preferred. Experience: 5+ years related experience with diesel and gasoline engines, and heavy equipment repair. Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Access and Excel. Other: Class A CDL or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment preferred. Forklift certification preferred. Competencies: Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external business partners. Ability to function effectively with, or as part of a team. Ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously. Ability to perform in a detail-oriented environment. Ability to exercise considerable discretion and independent judgment. Ability to analyze complex information requests and determine complex trends. Ability to adapt to changing work demands. Ability to work with minimal supervision and make independent technical decisions in order to make timely and effective repairs and maintenance. Knowledge of and the ability to identify safety hazards and necessary safety precautions to establish a safe work environment. Knowledge of office practices, procedures and etiquette. Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions. Working Conditions: Works both inside an office environment and also outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders. May require extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time. What We Offer?
