Responsibilities What You'll Do? Responsible for formulating and executing test strategies, developing and maintaining test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts. This position requires a blend of functional and automation testing expertise. The ideal candidate should be a self-sufficient team player with excellent problem-solving abilities, able to collaborate across teams, and drive the quality assurance processes for complex systems Key Responsibilities: Test Strategy & Planning: Formulate test strategies, develop test plans, and create detailed test cases and automated test scripts based on business requirements, user stories, and technical design documents for different tech stack systems. Functional & Automated Testing: Perform both manual and automated functional testing for web, desktop and mobile systems. Utilize Playwright, Jenkins, and Typescript (or similar coding languages) for automation tasks. Multi-Project Management : Handle multiple testing projects concurrently, ensuring each is prioritized and delivered in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of quality. Independent Decision Making: Manage test execution autonomously, make independent decisions about test coverage, and raise issues or flags as necessary to project stakeholders. Test Execution & Defect Management: Execute test cases, record results, and manage defects using testing repositories and tools. Track and report defects, ensuring timely resolution of issues. Collaboration & Communication : Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, development, UAT, project management) to ensure testing objectives and project goals are met. Provide clear feedback and status reports to stakeholders on test progress and production readiness. Continuous Improvement : Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to drive greater efficiency and quality. Test Reporting: Compile and report testing metrics and status to project management, identifying risks and proposing solutions. Test Coverage: Review application requirements and techincal documents, ensuring all requirements are testables and covered in the testing process. Identify manual test cases that are suitable for automation. Qualifications Education & Credentials Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software/computer engineering, business, or a related field; or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to nine (9) years. Experience: 5+ years of quality assurance experience, particularly in functional and automation testing. Proven experience in automation testing using tools like Playwright or Selenium, Jenkins, GitHub and Python, Typescript (or similar languages). Proven experience on API testing with tools like, Postman or Assured. Experience performing Load/Stress testing with tools like JMeter or K6. (Plus) Experience with CI/CD processes and agile methodologies (Agile/Scrum/Kanban). Experience writing test cases, test plans, and defect management. Experience with industry testing tools and continuous improvement of testing processes. Familiarized working with cloud solutions like AWS and Microsoft Azure. Technical Skills: Proficiency with Automation frameworks, tools and languages like: Playwright, Selenium, Jenkins, GitHub and Python, Typescript, Java or similar programming languages. Familiarity with MuleSoft interfaces, and RDBMS/SQL queries (Desirable) Experience with testing repository tools (e.g., Jira, Xray, Test Runner, etc.). Knowledge of best practices in the software testing life cycle and agile methodologies. Certifications: ISTQB certification is a plus. (Desirable) AI Methodologies: Strong understanding and experience with AI-DLC, SDD, AI-assisted TDD. (Plus) Other: Bilingual (English/Spanish Proficient)
