Work Arrangement: Why Join Crowley: Responsibilities What You'll Do: Responsible for overseeing the physical movement of inbound and outbound shipments is responsible for all distribution functions including shipments to both domestic and international customers, distribution centers, warehouses and offices within the same or multiple companies. Key Responsibilities: This position is responsible for creating profitable and competitive rates. Also, reviews costs and other marketing data to develop rate offerings. Activities are centered on pricing and rate negotiations for specific commodities. Also analyzes and qualifies vendors and negotiates vendor service contracts. In addition, position conducts analysis of projects and prepares cost models. Oversees company interests in coordination with those of its shippers. Has the authority to make decisions on rates and rules within guidelines. Pricing policy decisions and the determination of the pricing structure are usually referred to higher authority. Qualifications Education & Credentials: High school diploma or equivalent required, with course work after high school and job-related training preferred. Bachelor's degree in Transportation/Logistics from an accredited university is strongly desired. Experience: 2 - 3 years of education and/or experience in the transportation industry. Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint. What We Offer?
