Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team to deliver operational excellence, business outcomes, and continuous capability growth.
Drive end-to-end Landside operational performance, ensuring service delivery, process compliance, strong controls, and effective issue resolution.
Own team performance through KPI management, governance, reporting, and data-driven decision-making to improve quality, productivity, and profitability.
Build strong partnerships with regional teams, customers, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive collaboration, service excellence, and business results.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and transformation through standardization, automation, system adoption, and process optimization.
Foster an engaging and inclusive work environment aligned with Maersk values, promoting accountability, ownership, and effective communication.
Accountabilities
Deliver team performance in line with SLA commitments, operational targets, and business objectives.
Ensure strong operational controls, process compliance, and prevention of revenue leakage while supporting profitable business performance.
Drive productivity, resource utilization, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement within the team.
Maintain high levels of stakeholder satisfaction through effective communication, escalation management, and service delivery excellence.
Build and retain a capable, engaged workforce through coaching, development, succession planning, and performance management.
Support business continuity, risk management, and transformation initiatives while upholding Maersk values, policies, and governance standards.
Qualifications:
College Graduate, or Postgraduate in any discipline
Flexible working across shifts and adhere to organizational work policies Including working from office requirements.
At least 10-12 years’ experience in operations, shipping container and logistics or Freight forwarder industry. Knowledge on landside business would be a added advantage
Should have prior experience leading a team of Individual contributors or Team leaders
Basic knowledge of capacity management/preparing staffing plan
Experience working in a global business environment, including cultural aspects
Excellent verbal and written English skills for co-ordination with Stakeholders
Highly result oriented, ready to take challenges/collaborate with cross functional teams and able to work under pressure
Capacity to handle change, stay open to different ideas and support for positive change
Understand work in an agile manner, high analytical / problem-solving skills
Proactive leader with customer service mindset
Large scale improvement (standardization and process capability) implementation experience
