Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Regional Sales Coordinator to join our G3 Boats sales team in Kennesaw, GA. The G3 Boats Regional Sales Coordinator will effectively provide sales coordination support for sales teams (G3 Boats and SunCatcher) in division to develop and maintain strong territory growth pattern and customer relations. This level is entry level sales coordinator position and is considered a training ground for District Manager position, with optional transfer to open territory if vacancy should occur.
What you'll be doing:
Inside District Manager Sales:
Wholesale: Assure current Dealers are representing G3 Boats product (Units, Parts & Accessories) based on size of market and conditions of marketplace. Retail: Assist current Dealer network in retailing product (Units, Parts, & Accessories); through National sales programs, moving product between Dealers, therefore controlling the amount of retail and inventory in the marketplace. Prospecting: Prospect for new Dealers and make recommendations to management of changes, additions, or deletions of Dealers in marketplace. Provide business planning input to new prospects assuring quality G3 Boats retail performance upon startup of new dealer. Sales Training: Conduct classroom and On the Water sales training classes for dealership sales staff with all product lines represented. Submit 30 call/prospect reports per month. Travel within district to assure the highest level of dealer satisfaction and boat show season training/retail support.

Trade Area Evaluation & Marketing:
- Analyze data & perform SWOT evaluations monthly to identify strong & weak areas in wholesale & retail at the model level, & dealer network effectiveness. Evaluate current situation and recommend action plans to management for problem resolution.
Provide Industry Information:
- Gather information from marketplace and provide to management concerning not only G3 Boats Dealers, but also competitive information regarding new products, programs, prices, finance promotions, advertising, and Dealer additions and changes in the marketplace.
- Gather and submit information on a monthly basis on G3 retail, competitive retail, wholesale, competitive wholesale, inventory, and marketplace. Analyze this information and explain how it relates to assigned marketplace in relationship to wholesale and retail activity.
Administrative Duties:
- Call Reports: Complete Dealer Call Reports on a weekly / monthly basis clearly stating expectations, setting sales goals for the dealer, and notating other important discussions. Prospect Reports: Fill out prospect reports so DM and NSM know who other dealers are in the market area. Build relationship with competitive Dealers in case a replacement is needed in market area. Monthly Report: Answer all questions and fill out monthly reports within timely fashion. Retail numbers are crucial to determine what is happening in market area. Expense Report: Accurately complete and submit to management on a weekly basis. Must adhere to established policies/standards. Monthly & Weekly Itineraries: Submit monthly & weekly itineraries documenting dealer visit, & travel plans.
Special Projects as assigned:
- Market Surveys: To conduct surveys on an annual basis (or as needed) on market share information to determine Dealers to target, markets to target, and overall direction for DMs, NSM and management to determine direction and action plan for dealer network in each market.
- Work on special projects regarding retail on specific models, availability on certain models and specific market conditions, on a timely basis and provide information to management.
- Presentations to group regarding best practices / trade area overviews / sales training/ market area overviews and action items as required at sales meetings.
- Develop creative and innovative solutions to issues facing the G3 Boats group operation which will improve the overall productivity efficiency and performance of the sales group.
Regional Sales Coordinator:
- Provides sales support and status updates to G3 Boats sales teams for order entry, monitoring inventory and shipment, review credit holds and dealer credit lines, and all paperwork to maintain dealer status (add, change or terminate). Maintain accurate dealer information records and files as required by the National Sales Manager (NSM) and Corporate Policy Guidelines.
- Assist in properly monitoring and servicing dealers to ensure satisfaction as a G3 Boats customer. Assist NSM is maintaining territory(s) for open sales positions.
- Provide required reports and assist sales team to accurately forecast G3 Boats product needs for dealer accounts based off data collected from G3 Boats dealers, market trends, and quantifiable from past year's sales.
- Review and maintain tracking information for all dealer sales programs and accounts, specific to regions and territory, and communicate market conditions to sales management (National Sales Program tracker and Boat Show Season tracker).
- Timely completion of an array of administrative duties including but not limited to, complete and maintain territory dealer lists, dealer call reports, expense reports, weekly recap, and itineraries; maintain and reconcile promotional line items; and shipping and tracking needs. Work with sales management to develop new systems to support efficient information to support business goals and excellent service.
- Support sales program order entry and dealer approval process.
- Process monthly promotional sales incentives, CSB, and co-op.
- Manage Docusign yearly dealer renewal process.
- Achieve corporate and territory goals and objectives while working within set budget parameters; approval is required on all expenses.
- Assist and update the sales team with evaluation/tracking of sales, programs, and promotional budgets. Obtain additional monthly business for sales programs and follow-up on new business leads from dealer inquiries.
- Assist sales team with prospecting and building dealer relationships and become proficient with using the Atlas Mapper program to support territory goals and objectives.
- Assist with the implementation of promotional and marketing opportunities for the dealer network, including meetings, open houses and boat shows, by assessing customer needs and suggesting appropriate products and services.
- Assist with sales training for dealers, including owner, sales team and other staff as necessary; participate in G3 Boats Sales and Service Seminars.
- Develop open lines of communication and build relationships with Yamaha Marine departments.
What you need to be successful:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification is required
- At least 1 to 2 years of previous experience in similar position at a minimum; experience Yamaha Outboard and Marine Industry knowledge a plus
- Required to be computer literate, including experience with MS Excel, MS Word and sales software
- Must be able to travel to various accounts, industry events, and dealer functions
