About this role
Essential Duties
- Full cycle accounting and month-end close for multiple marina properties
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts
- Prepare monthly recurring journal entries
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Partner with the operations team, including marina management, to prepare accurate and timely financial information, including budget to actual analyses
- Present month-end results and budget to actual results to operations team
- Assist in quarter and year-end financial reporting
- Assist auditors with financial audits. Answer questions, review processes and gather required data for auditors
- Ensure procedures/controls are in place and working appropriately to safeguard company's assets
- Assist FP&A in forward-looking projections
- Ad hoc projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university with an emphasis in accounting
- CPA or MBA (preferred)
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Familiarity with US GAAP and internal controls
- Self-starter, high-energy, eager to learn and grow
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Must possess excellent organizational skills
- Willing to work additional hours when necessary
- Familiarity with NetSuite is a plus
