OVERVIEW
Harken, Inc. — the employee-owned (ESOP) global leader in sailboat deck hardware, blocks, winches and hydraulics, headquartered in Pewaukee, WI — is hiring a Skilled Mechanical Assembler for 1st shift. Full-time, non-exempt, reporting to the Industrial Assembly Supervisor.
What you'll do:
• Perform bench-type assembly of mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies
• Fabricate products using hydraulic presses and riveting machines, plus air and power tools
• Read assembly prints and technical descriptions; work to manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision
• Conduct quality checks before product moves to finish bins and keep a clean, safe work area
What you'll bring:
• High school diploma or GED and manufacturing experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and ability to juggle multiple assignments to deadline
• Comfort with Microsoft Office and shop math; team-oriented attitude
• Ability to stand on concrete up to 4 hours at a time and lift 50 lbs unassisted

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Diagnose, service, and repair boats, engines, and systems
- Perform scheduled maintenance, repowers, and rigging
- Road/water test and verify repairs
- Document service work and parts accurately
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Marine technician/mechanic experience (outboard or inboard)
- Manufacturer certifications (Yamaha, Mercury, etc.) a plus
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver license; own basic tools preferred
COMPENSATION
Estimated market range $46,000 to $80,000/year (about $22 to $38/hour), depending on experience.
