General Description of Position:
Maintenance of molds.
Duties (Essential): All duties within mold shop: grinding, gelcoat, lamination, mold maintenance and waxing, moving molds into and out of shop.
Duties (Non-Essential): Perform related duties as assigned.
Education & Work Experience: Minimum education level required, however GED or equivalent preferred. Previous mold maintenance modification or auto body experience preferred. Must be able to read and understand instructions. Must be able to drive a fork lift or willing to be certified.
Environmental and Working Conditions:
Works in production area. Comes in contact with fumes and chemical from processes such as gelcoating, laminating, and fiberglass cutting process. Requires reasonable physical stamina. Temperature and ventilation in work area are controlled. Moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.), with or without accommodation. Requires bending, walking, stooping, reaching, kneeling and crouching. Talking, hearing and normal vision are required.
Skills & Aptitudes:
Language skills - Able to understand spoken instructions with regard to job training and safety concerns and the ability to speak conversational English.
Reasoning skills - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed finishing of all products. Ability to deal with changes related to equipment use and productivity.
Travel: No travel required in this position.
