About this role

Rank: Master (CPT) · Vessel: Tanker - Chemical

Set the course as Master on a chemical tanker trading worldwide. In this role with OSM Thome, you will lead the vessel, crew, and cargo operations safely and efficiently across global trades.

Key responsibilities:
Overall command of the vessel and crew
Ensure safe navigation and ship handling in all conditions
Oversee cargo operations for chemical products, including loading, discharging, and tank safety
Maintain compliance with international regulations, company procedures, and vetting requirements
Lead onboard safety culture, drills, and emergency response
Coordinate with office, charterers, terminals, and authorities

Requirements:
Valid Master Mariner (Unlimited) CoC
Recent experience as Master or Chief Officer on chemical tankers
Strong knowledge of chemical cargo handling and relevant regulations (MARPOL, SOLAS, ISM, ISGOTT)
Good English communication skills
Valid STCW certificates, medical, and other documents required for worldwide trading
Strong leadership, safety mindset, and ability to work with a multicultural crew
