Hodgdon Yachts — family owned and operated since 1816, building and servicing world-class custom yachts and superyacht tenders across the Boothbay region of Maine. We're seeking a skilled Marine Systems Technician to diagnose, repair and install marine mechanical and electrical systems — propulsion, generators, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and hydraulics — on yachts and tenders. ABYC/NMEA certification preferred.

We are hiring a Marine Systems Technician in East Boothbay, ME. In this role you will diagnose, service, and repair boats, engines, and systems, and contribute to our team’s quality and success.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Diagnose, service, and repair boats, engines, and systems
- Perform scheduled maintenance, repowers, and rigging
- Road/water test and verify repairs
- Document service work and parts accurately
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Marine technician/mechanic experience (outboard or inboard)
- Manufacturer certifications (Yamaha, Mercury, etc.) a plus
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver license; own basic tools preferred
COMPENSATION
Estimated market range $46,000 to $80,000/year (about $22 to $38/hour), depending on experience.
