REQUIRED :
- U.S Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Drug test and Background Check
- Associate's Degree or 2 Year Technical Degree
- +6 year relevant experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, and Word
PREFERRED :
- Experience in Pipe, Mechanical, Machinery and HVAC Design
- Experience in Quality Assurance
- Complete understanding of ship design practices and blueprint reading skills
DESCRIPTION :
Designs components or portions of systems and modifies existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing operations. Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as, CAD, CAM or CATIA. Gathers information, makes studies, computes calculations, and prepares original rough layouts, sketches to present design proposal. Coordinates design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning group such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials, and contractual specifications.
Applicant will be directly involved in the Quality Assurance and development of Marine drawings and other products associated with U.S. Naval ship modifications and overhauls. Applicant will also be responsible for for ensuring all technical requirements are fully completed into deliverable products while following applicable procedures and standards.
