Machinery Maintenance Technician (Facility)

Summary: The Machinery Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility-owned machinery and equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation of plant and support operations. This role supports building infrastructure, fixed equipment, and facility machinery. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, preventive maintenance skills, and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities: Duties & Responsibilities
Machinery & Equipment Maintenance

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility machinery and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs on non-production machinery, including motors, pumps, compressors, conveyors, lifts, and facility support equipment.
• Inspect machinery regularly to identify wear, damage, or potential failures.
• Replace worn or defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

Preventive Maintenance & Inspections

• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and complete assigned work orders.
• Perform routine inspections and document findings, repairs, and completed maintenance tasks.
• Assist in developing and improving preventive maintenance programs.

• Assist with equipment installation, relocation, and removal as needed.

Safety, Compliance & Documentation

• Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and OSHA regulations.
• Always maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Accurately document maintenance activities, inspections, and parts usage.
• Report safety hazards, equipment deficiencies, and operational concerns promptly.

Requirements: Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on machinery maintenance experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems effectively.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
• Ability to read basic diagrams, manuals, and equipment documentation.
• Comfortable working in an industrial or manufacturing facilities environment.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and maintenance protocols consistently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in machinery maintenance, industrial maintenance, or facilities maintenance.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

Preferred

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial facilities environment.
• Basic electrical or hydraulic troubleshooting experience.
• Forklift or equipment operation experience (or willingness to be trained).
• OSHA safety training or familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures.

Description: Training

• Forklift certification provided in-house through the PE Department.
• Travelift and equipment operation training provided in-house.
• Vessel systems, documentation, and commissioning training provided to qualified candidates.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Work performed indoors and outdoors depending on facility needs.
• Requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment, tools, and parts.
• Exposure to machinery noise, moving equipment, and industrial environments.
• Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Work ScheduleStandard Schedule: Monday to FridayOvertime: As needed based on production demands
