OVERVIEW
Harken, Inc. — a leading manufacturer of innovative sailboat hardware for over 50 years, based in Pewaukee, WI — is hiring a 1st Shift Lathes Machine Setup. Full-time, non-exempt. If you have a can-do attitude and thrive in a casual but fast-paced environment, we want you.

What you'll do:
• Set up, check programs for, operate and adjust CNC lathes and machining equipment to close-tolerance and finish requirements
• Recognize tool and fixture applications; follow detailed part drawings, coding and settings; note and report variations
• Assist with program prove-out, recommend tooling and operation sequences, and instruct lower-classification operators
• Use a variety of precision measuring instruments

What you'll bring:
• General machine-shop knowledge and operation, typically up to 2 years of experience or equivalent
• Comfort with Microsoft Office and shop math (fractions and decimals across units of measure)
• Ability to stand on concrete up to 4 hours at a time and lift 50 lbs unassisted

- Solid shop math; G-code familiarity a plus
- Attention to detail and quality

COMPENSATION
Estimated market range $46,000 to $72,000/year (about $22 to $35/hour), depending on experience.
