JOB TITLE: Kitchen Supervisor

DEPARTMENT: Kitchen 

REPORTS TO: General Manager, Kitchen Manager, or Executive Chef

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for supervising kitchen food preparation, maintaining high levels of food quality and presentation, and training staff. This individual must be willing to adapt to changes in menus and staffing while resolving issues as they arise and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Supervise and support kitchen employees during assigned shifts
  2. Oversee food preparation and ensure food quality and presentation standards are met
  3. Train and coach kitchen employees on proper food preparation, safety, and sanitation procedures.
  4. Assist with scheduling and staffing needs as requested
  5. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and inventory management
  6. Ensure all food products are stored and handled in compliance with health and safety regulations
  7. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
  8. Assist with all aspects of kitchen operations as requested
  9. Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  1. Prior work experience as a Kitchen Supervisor, Lead Cook, or similar leadership role preferred
  2. Minimum of three years of kitchen or food service experience required
  3. In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, sanitation practices, and health and safety regulations
  4. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  5. Must have flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays


WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Must be able to independently lift, carry, push, and pull up to fifty (50) pounds
  2. Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as directed by management
