IT Project Manager 4

Jerry Pittman is hiring an experienced IT Project Manager 4 for an onsite position in Pascagoula, Mississippi. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

About the Role

Lead complex, large-scale IT initiatives from planning through implementation, aligning technical delivery with business goals. This senior-level role works closely with business stakeholders, IT leadership, cross-functional teams, managed service providers, and vendors to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to established quality standards.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, strategic thinking, and proven experience managing enterprise IT projects within complex organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.

• Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams, enterprise resources, outsourced partners, and vendors.

• Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and issues throughout the project lifecycle.

• Communicate project status and technical information clearly to business stakeholders and executive leadership.

• Apply project management methodologies and best practices aligned with Project Management Institute (PMI) standards and Project Management Office (PMO) governance.

• Ensure project outcomes support strategic objectives and deliver measurable business value.

Minimum Education and Experience

Applicants must meet one of the following:

• High school diploma with 13 years of experience.

• Associate degree with 11 years of experience.

• Bachelor’s degree with 9 years of experience.

• Master’s degree with 7 years of experience.

• Ph.D. with 5 years of experience.

Additional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in project management, information technology, business administration, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of applicable project management experience successfully managing enterprise-level IT projects.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

• Experience in a heavily regulated industry, such as defense or government contracting.

• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects involving complex organizational structures, outsourced partners, and managed service providers.

• Proficiency with project management software, including Microsoft Project and ServiceNow PPM.

• Experience with Microsoft Planner Premium.

• Expert knowledge of multiple project management methodologies.

• Strong technical background, financial acumen, and experience managing complex budgets.

• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.

• Ability to explain complex technical information to nontechnical and executive audiences.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity and introduce appropriate structure.

• Demonstrated experience using AI-powered project management tools for predictive scheduling, resource optimization, or advanced risk analysis.

• Strong understanding of how AI concepts apply to project management and IT operations.

Experience in shipbuilding or another manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
