About the Role We are looking for a motivated Entry-Level General Shop Hand to join our marine service team. This position is ideal for someone starting out in the marine or mechanical industry who is keen to learn on the job, gain hands-on experience, and work towards progressing into a Service Technician role. No formal qualifications are required — just a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a positive attitude. What You’ll Be Doing Learning from experienced Service Technicians and assisting them with daily tasks Providing general help around the workshop and service area Acting as a lot porter, helping move boats safely around the yard and workshop Cleaning and detailing boats Covering boats and draining boat covers Keeping service bays clean, tidy, and organized Assisting with boat offloads Helping with service pick-ups and drop-offs What We’re Looking For Basic or general mechanical knowledge (boats or similar equipment preferred, but not essential) Interest in boats, mechanics, or the marine industry Willingness to learn new skills and take direction Ability to work as part of a team Positive, reliable, and “can-do” attitude Physically capable of performing manual tasks What We Offer Hands-on training and mentoring from experienced Service Technicians Clear pathway to develop skills and progress into a Service Technician role Supportive, team-focused work environment Great opportunity for school leavers or those new to the industry Apply Now!
