OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Fitter to work on chemical tankers trading worldwide. You will be part of the deck/engine crew, carrying out steel repairs and maintenance to keep the vessel safe and in good condition.

Key responsibilities:

Perform steel fabrication, welding and cutting jobs on deck and in engine room
Maintain and repair pipelines, supports, ladders, handrails and vessel structures
Assist with repair and maintenance of cargo equipment and deck machinery
Support the engineering team during planned maintenance and repairs
Follow safety procedures and permit-to-work systems at all times

Requirements:

Proven seagoing experience as Fitter, preferably on chemical or product tankers
Strong welding and cutting skills (arc, gas; stainless and carbon steel)
Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness for sea service
Good English communication skills
Ability to work safely, independently and as part of a multinational crew
