About this role

Yamaha is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst III to support budgeting, financial reporting, forecasting, and business analysis. This role will analyze financial performance, identify trends and variances, and provide actionable insights to support informed business decisions. Incumbent is responsible for all financial reporting within the Demand Chain business, including monthly reporting, annual budgeting process, and other analytics as needed.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management presentations.
  • Develop and maintain annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models. Partner with cross-functional business units to develop, align, and manage budgets and forecasts, ensuring financial plans reflect operational needs and business priorities.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial reporting processes, both internally within Demand Chain Unit as well as externally within the various Yamaha Business Units.
  • Monitor departmental spending, operating/capital expenses, revenue, and key financial metrics.
  • Perform various SAP EPM & BI maintenance report and report writing improvements.
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses and presentations for management and leadership.


What you need to be successful:

  • BS in Accounting or Finance, plus at least three years of Financial Analyst experience required.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and management reporting required.
  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint & Excel is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience working in SAP required. Experience in SAP (EPM & BI) Preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial and operational data into actionable business insights.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with limited supervision.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing cost structures, including materials, labor, overhead, inventory, and standard costing.
  • Minimal travel may be required, approximately less than 10%
