About this role

Rank: Electro Technical Officer (ETO) · Vessel: Tanker - Oil/Chemical

Join OSM Thome as Electro Technical Officer (ETO) on Oil/Chemical Tankers trading worldwide. You will be responsible for the safe and reliable operation of all electrical and electronic systems onboard, supporting safe cargo and ship operations.

Key responsibilities:
Operate, maintain and repair electrical, electronic and automation systems, including power generation and distribution
Carry out planned maintenance and troubleshooting on navigation, communication and cargo control systems
Support engine and deck teams with electrical support for cargo pumps, valves and instrumentation
Monitor and maintain safety systems, including fire detection, gas detection and emergency power
Keep accurate maintenance records and report defects, repairs and spare parts needs

Requirements:
Valid ETO CoC and all required STCW certificates for tanker service
Experience as ETO on Oil/Chemical Tankers
Good knowledge of high and low voltage marine systems, automation and control systems
Good English communication skills
Fit for duty with valid medical certificate and willing to work worldwide
ME engine experience.
