About this role

Rank: Electro Technical Officer (ETO) · Vessel: Bulkcarrier

Join OSM Thome as Electro Technical Officer (ETO) on a bulk carrier trading worldwide. You will be responsible for safe, reliable operation and maintenance of all electrical and electronic systems on board, supporting smooth cargo and vessel operations.

Key responsibilities:
Maintain and repair all electrical, electronic and automation systems, including power distribution and switchboards
Take care of navigation, communication and cargo handling equipment
Carry out routine inspections, testing and troubleshooting of faults
Ensure safe operation of high-voltage systems and electrical safety on board
Support planned maintenance system and keep technical records updated

Requirements:
Valid ETO CoC and all required STCW certificates
Experience as ETO on bulk carriers or similar ocean-going vessels
Good knowledge of marine electrical, electronic and automation systems
Strong troubleshooting skills and safe work practices
Good English communication skills and ability to work within an international crew
Must be experienced ETO in Bulk carrier vessel with RT Flex engine type and crane
Prefers with valid US Visa
