Damage/Defective Support Person

Position Summary:

The Damage/Defective Support Person supports manufacturing by processing parts that are found to be either damaged or defective, working with suppliers to ensure uninterrupted supply of product, administering vendor reimbursement for vendor caused failures and supporting Supplier Quality Assurance in containing problems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Interacts with suppliers to
  • Determine disposition of defective product
  • Order replacement parts for manufacturing as needed
• Interacts with manufacturing to
  • Ensure they have what they need to build boats
  • Schedule supplier service needs
  • Analyze damaged parts data, alert manufacturing of reoccurring problems and participate in resolving problems
• Manages damaged, defective and warranty parts to ensure they are properly processed in a timely and cost-effective manner
