About this role

Rank: Chief Officer (C/O) · Vessel: Tanker - LPG - Ethylene

Set sail as Chief Officer on modern LPG/Ethylene tankers trading worldwide with OSM Thome. Take a leading role on deck and cargo operations, support safe navigation, and guide the deck crew in daily vessel operations.

Key responsibilities:

Plan and supervise cargo operations for LPG/Ethylene
Assist the Master with safe navigation and bridge watchkeeping
Lead deck crew in mooring, anchoring, and deck maintenance
Ensure ISM, safety, and environmental procedures are followed
Oversee stability, ballast operations, and cargo documentation
Maintain deck and cargo safety equipment in good order

Requirements:

Valid Chief Officer CoC (unlimited), compliant with STCW
Recent experience as C/O on LPG/Ethylene or gas tankers
Valid tanker/gas endorsements and medical certificates
Good command of English, spoken and written
Strong safety mindset and proven leadership skills onboard
Prefers with Schengen Visa
Must have valid STCW certificates including SID and Seamans Book
