OVERVIEW
Tidewater is the largest operator of offshore support vessels (OSVs) in the world, supporting offshore energy in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. Mariner roles require a USCG Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) with appropriate endorsements and a TWIC; work is rotational.
We are hiring a Chief Engineer (OSV) in Offshore - Gulf of Mexico. In this role you will operate and maintain vessel propulsion and machinery, and contribute to our team’s quality and success.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Operate and maintain vessel propulsion and machinery
- Lead the engine department and watchkeeping
- Plan maintenance and manage spares
- Ensure compliance with safety and class requirements
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- USCG engineering license appropriate to the vessel
- OSV or commercial vessel engine-room experience
- Valid MMC, TWIC, and required certs
- Able to work offshore rotations
COMPENSATION
Estimated market range $110,000 to $175,000/year (about $53 to $84/hour), depending on experience.
