About this role

Rank: Chief Engineer (C/E) · Vessel: Tanker - Chemical

Join OSM Thome as Chief Engineer on chemical tankers trading worldwide. Take full charge of the engine department, ensure safe and efficient operation of all machinery, and keep the vessel in top technical condition.

Key responsibilities:

Lead and supervise the engine room team
Operate, monitor and maintain main engine, auxiliaries and all machinery
Plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance
Ensure safe bunkering and proper fuel/oil management
Keep engine room records, reports and documentation updated
Ensure compliance with flag, class, ISM and company procedures
Support the Master in all safety and environmental matters

Requirements:

Valid Chief Engineer license (unlimited)
Recent experience as C/E on chemical tankers
Valid STCW certificates and tanker endorsements
Good command of English, written and spoken
Strong leadership, safety mindset and hands-on attitude
Medically fit for sea service
