Rank: Chief Engineer (C/E) · Vessel: Tanker - Chemical

Join OSM Thome as Chief Engineer on chemical tankers trading worldwide. Take full charge of the engine department, ensure safe and efficient operations, and keep the vessel in top technical condition.

Key responsibilities:

Oversee safe and efficient operation of all engine room machinery and systems
Plan and carry out maintenance and repairs as per company standards
Monitor fuel and lube oil consumption and maintain accurate records
Lead, train, and supervise engine room crew
Ensure compliance with flag state, class, ISM, and company procedures
Coordinate closely with the Master for safe and efficient vessel operations

Requirements:

Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency for seagoing vessels
Recent experience as C/E on chemical tankers
Strong knowledge of tanker operations, safety, and environmental rules
Good leadership and communication skills in English
Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
