• Key responsibilities:
• Lead and supervise the engine department team
• Operate, monitor and maintain main engine, auxiliaries and all engine room equipment
• Plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance
• Ensure vessel complies with safety, environmental and class requirements
• Manage spare parts, bunkers and lube oil consumption and inventory
• Prepare engine room for port state, class and internal inspections
• Report technical issues and cooperate closely with shore-based technical team

• Requirements:
• Valid Certificate of Competency as Chief Engineer (unlimited)
• Experience as C/E on bulk carriers or similar vessel type
• Strong knowledge of marine diesel engines and shipboard systems
• Good command of English, spoken and written
• Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
• Proactive, safety-minded and able to lead a multicultural team
