About this role

Rank: Chief Engineer (C/E) · Vessel: Bulkcarrier

OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Chief Engineer (C/E) to sail on a bulk carrier trading worldwide. You will be in charge of the engine department, ensuring safe, efficient and reliable operation of all machinery.

Key responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the engine room team
- Operate, monitor and maintain all main and auxiliary machinery
- Plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and company procedures
- Manage engine room stores, spares and bunkering operations
- Keep technical records and reports up to date
Requirements:
- Valid Chief Engineer license (unlimited) for seagoing vessels
- Recent experience as C/E on bulk carriers
- Valid STCW certificates and valid seafarer’s medical
- Good English communication skills
- Strong leadership, problem-solving and safety mindset
